This is the agreement between you and Alborea Audio for using our plugins. It applies to every plugin we make, free or paid. Installing or using one means you accept it. It is short on purpose: please read it.
Alborea Audio is the trade name of Emilio Jiménez Vico, tax ID (NIF) 76421227R, Plaza de Corcubión, 17, 28029 Madrid, Spain. Contact: info@alboreaaudio.com
1. What you get
The plugins are licensed to you, not sold. You get a permanent right to use them; we keep the ownership of the software.
Free plugins (Glow, Chrono): anyone may use them, on as many computers as they like, at home or at work, for personal or commercial projects.
Paid plugins (Glow Pro): the licence is for you, the person who bought it. Install it on every computer you use yourself: the studio, the laptop, a new machine years from now. It does not expire, and it needs no account, no internet connection and no activation server.
2. What you make with them is yours
Music, mixes, recordings, anything you process with our plugins belongs to you. Release it, sell it, use it commercially. No royalties and no credit required.
3. What you may not do
- Share your licence key, or let other people use a paid plugin under your licence. A studio where several people work needs one licence per person.
- Upload our files anywhere for others to download. Linking to our website is fine, and welcome.
- Sell, rent or sublicense the plugins.
- Remove or get around the licence check, or modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the plugins, except where the law allows it regardless of this agreement.
If you want to pass your licence on to someone else, write to us and we will sort it out.
4. Updates
Updates to the version you have (for example, from 1.0 to 1.4) are free. A future major version may be sold separately. If it is, the version you bought keeps working.
5. Refunds
Within 14 days of buying, you can ask for a refund for any reason. After that, if a paid plugin does not work on your computer and we cannot fix it, we will refund you too. Write to info@alboreaaudio.com with your order reference.
6. Privacy
Our plugins work offline. The only connection they make is a check, at most once a day, for a newer version: they download a small text file from our website and send nothing about you or your computer. You can switch it off in each plugin’s settings.
The name and email you enter when you activate a licence stay on your computer.
Chrono tells working time from idle time. If you allow it, it looks at when the keyboard or mouse was last used anywhere on your computer. It never records which keys you press, what you type or where you click, and everything it measures stays on your computer.
7. Warranty and liability
We build the plugins carefully and test them, but no software is free of faults, and we provide them as they are. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost work, sessions or earnings, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the plugin. Keep backups of your sessions.
Nothing in this agreement limits your rights as a consumer under the law of your country, including the legal guarantee for digital content.
8. Ending the licence
If you break this agreement, your licence ends and you must stop using the plugin. Otherwise it lasts for ever.
9. Applicable law
This agreement is governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of your country, and you can bring any claim before the courts where you live.
10. Changes
If we change this agreement, the version that applies to you is the one that was in force when you got the plugin.
